| Thursday, Nov 21, 2002 Purhaps one of the most exciting things to happen to the city of Toronto is the recent announcement of the expansion of the Art Gallery of Ontario. The great news is they have commissioned World remowned Architect Frank Gehry to do the job. For a city that claims to be world class, we definitely do not have the Art, and achitecture to prove so. With this new addition and renovation or the Royal Ontario Museum, this will surely change for the better. For those who are not familiar with Frank Gehry's work. He is the most important canadian Born Architect of the modern era. His creations can be seen all over the world, including the Guggenheim museums in NYC (in development) and Bilbao, Spain. As well as the beautifully designed Vitra Museum in Weil-am-Rhein, Germany.

Tuesday, Nov 19, 2002 I've been searching forJason Mraz's new cd for weeks now, and finally got my friend to pick it up at Best Buy in Michigan last week. I've been listening to it all day today, and it's a great CD. I wish more people can hear his songs. ♥ posted by piperboy 2:05am EST
Wednesday, Nov 6, 2002 I am happy to say that Scottish superstar Ewan McGregor has signaled he is willing to reprise his role in Trainspotting - if the script is good. The Moulin Rouge star, who fell out director Danny Boyle after their film collaboration ended after Leonardo DiCaprio was cast in The Beach, has read Irvine Welsh's sequel novel Porno, and is very interested in returning to the character, Mark Renton, that shot him to fame in 1996. The move comes just a few weeks after McGregor and Boyle ended their feud and spent time together discussing the project, when the filmmaker gave McGregor a copy of the book to read to try and prompt his interest. McGregor says, "After reading Porno, I thought, 'Do I really want to do Renton again?' I was skeptical that we could pull it off a second time, so I said no. But it was so nice to find out what they were all up to - Sick Boy, wee Spud and Begbie - I thought it was a real treat to read it." However, despite his enthusiasm for the book, McGregor is anxious to see the script treatment of the book before he signs on. Attending the British Independent Film Awards this week he gave more hints that he is ready to return. He says, "I'd have to read the script, but I am no longer negative." The rest of the cast including Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, Ewen Bremner are all reportedly keen to get on board again. ♥ posted by piperboy 1:45am EST
Sunday, Nov 3, 2002 The original CSI has to be the best crime show on the tube right now. I've been watching it since the very first season. The writing, acting and direction are all top notch! But I notice the past two shows have tiny plot holes. Just thought I mention it. One of the episodes involves a rock star killing 2 women. The team tested the blood on the sheets and found the Y chromosome, and discovered the 2 women were actually transvestites. If I'm not mistaken, wouldn't the coroner discover that when they perform the autopsy?? As for CSI: Miami. I've watched about 3 episodes, and I'm not sure if I like this as much. The actors here are second rate and the script isn't as well written. Oh yeah, I hate that David Caruso guy. He looks like a walking corpse! Go get a tan dude! ♥ posted by piperboy 2:39am EST
Saturday, Nov 2, 2002 Coupe has been around for a couple of years now. This homegrown design magazine came out with their first design annual. The featured works are pretty nice, a range of art, illustrations and graphic design. There were submission from all over North America, and it's worth every penny. Their site really bites tho. ♥ posted by piperboy 3:41am EST
