Thursday, Sept 26, 2002 Found this artist site on Newstoday. His work is rather both and complelling. Good sense of humour too. Just had another birthday, but I'm not gonna reveal my real age. I find it rude that people ask my age, although when I do tell them, they are pleasantly surprised. Really don't feel any different than a couple of days before the big day, except, I do need more sleep these days. I thought I was suppose to sleep less now that I'm older. What a bunch of lies. Age is really between your brains, I don't feel a day over 25. Although now I have different responsiblities, and a lot less partying. My friends and I still laugh and joke about the same things. ♥ posted by piperboy 6:32pm EST
Monday, Sept 23, 2002 Came back from Windsor, Ontario last night. I had a good time, as I was celebrating an early birthday with my friends. As for the city itself, well, there isn't much for anyone to do at all, some gambling, not much shopping either. The view across the river to Detriot is quite nice. The weather was pretty good, Saturday was amazingly nice. Well, back to work, nothing much to do here, the bosses are away on a management meeting so we're all chilling. Although I got some contacts for some possible freelance work, that is pretty cool. I am hoping it will keep me busy for the next little while.♥ posted by piperboy 2:30pm EST
Friday, Sept 20, 2002 Been busy working on some logo designs. This is a personal project as I'm trying to develop them for personal and professional use. Right now it's just a defining phase, where I'm pumping out different ideas. Hopefully there wlll be something cool to show by the end of this month. As for this weekend, I will be heading up to Windsor Ontario to visit some friends. I hope it won't be too hot, as windsor is usually way hotter than Toronto.♥ posted by piperboy 2:30pm EST
Wednesday, Sept 18, 2002 Been doing a lot of surfing the past couple of weeks especially during work. A great thing being a web designer is that I get paid doing "online research" all day. Anyway, while chatting on newstoday.com I discovered an artist named Dave delaney. He is a 26 year old painter, web designer, illustrator and skateboarder living, working and skating in Philadelphia. I especially like the contrast of the wood grain with the matte finished paint. Even though his work is limited to only a small amount. I am quite curtain that we will be hearing a lot from this young artist in the near future! ♥ posted by piperboy 12:35am EST
Monday, Sept 16, 2002 Just went to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I had to say it wasn't as good as I had expected. Especially with it getting so much media attention. I suppose if I did see it during the first week of release, I would have enjoyed it a bit more. Although there are many funny moments, I didn't lmao during this movie. I'm waiting for Disney's Spirited Away and The RIng. They should be good!♥ posted by piperboy 2:35am EST
Wednesday, Sept 11, 2002![]() I'm not sure about saying anything about Sept 11, as I didn't know anyone that was affected directly from the terrorist attacks. Although I did spend a rediculous amount of time watching the same clip of the 2 towers crumbling being broadcast by the many stations that were airing news. I will say that my heart goes out to all those who were affected by this horrible event. Let there be peace!♥ posted by piperboy 12:32am EST |
Friday, Sept 6, 2002 The past 2 days has been kind of rough. I've been suffering from major allergy attacks and Claritan isn't doing anything to help ease my suffering. But no allergies can get me down because one of my favorite Illustrators Arthur Mount, just emailed me about my site. I think it's the greatest thing that has happened to me in a long while. I know I should really get a life, but his work is phenomenal and I would be happy to have work that is at his level. Thanks you made my day, year!♥ posted by piperboy 12:37am EST
Tuesday, Sept 3, 2002 Well, back on track for some design news. Miller Music Tour promo site, brought to you by the lovely people of crash!media This is a funky little site with full blown audio and stylized illustrations that will knock your socks off, well not quite but should check out nevertheless. Recently, I conversed via email with the founder of crash!media, Craig Swan. He's a pretty cool guy who has done plenty for the online design community of Toronto. He has organized numerous events to build a stronger design community and to give high profile exposure to Canadian designs. On Sept27th, he will be curating a BD4D's creative fightclub that will surely be interesting.♥ posted by piperboy 5:27pm EST
Tuesday, Sept 3, 2002 I would never voice any political opinion on my site, but in light of the recent decision of the Ontario Provincial Government I just cannot sit here without saying anything. Ontario Education Minister Elisabeth Witmer has seized the Toronto District School Board and appointed a "Supervisor" to fix the budget problem. This "Supervisor" is getting paid $1000/day! They showed him on the news tonight. He had this big ass grin on his face, and I bet he was thinking "Oh boy, I'm getting paid a shit load of cash for doing fuck all!" ♥ posted by piperboy 12:55am EST
